How Does The Temporal Artery Thermometer Work?

With a simple scan of the forehead, the temporal artery thermometer accurately measures body temperature.

Step 1
Remove the protective cap and place the temporary thermometer head in the center of the pan.

When the thermometer touches the skin, press the button on the thermometer and gently slide the Exergen Temporal Scanner across your forehead near your hairline while holding it down. Avoid scanning the side of your face or the technology won't work.

step 3
While holding down the button, touch the scanner to a soft spot behind the ear. You can then release the button and read the temperature.
