Brief Description

Clean

After each examination with the Mindray P4-2E Phased Ultrasound Transducer Probe, the probe should be cleaned and disinfected (or sterilized) as required. Always sterilize the needle guide holder after performing a biopsy procedure. Failure to do so may result in the probe and needle guide holder becoming a source of infection.
1. To prevent infection, sterile gloves should be worn when cleaning and disinfecting probes.
2. After the examination, wipe off the ultrasound gel thoroughly. Otherwise, the ultrasound gel may solidify and reduce the image quality of the transducer.
3. Clean the transducer with clean or soapy water to remove any foreign material, or wipe the transducer with a soft urethane sponge. Avoid using a brush as it may damage the transducer.
4. Do not overheat the probe (over 55°C) during cleaning and disinfection. High temperatures may deform or damage the probe.
5. Dry the transducer with a sterile cloth or gauze after rinsing. Do not heat the transducer to dry
