M-asimo RD SET YI SpO2 Multisite Reusable Sensor uses M-asimo attachment wraps to fix the sensor on the detection site of the patient. Each attachment wraps can only be used by one patient. It is forbidden for multiple patients to use the attachment wraps together. During use, the attachment wraps are fixed by adhesive tape, so you should always pay attention to whether the adhesive tape is firmly attached, whether the patient's blood circulation is smooth, and whether the skin of the patient's monitoring site is intact. When attaching the sensor to the patient's body monitoring site, be sure to select a site that completely covers the sensor's detector window. And be sure to ensure that the patient's monitoring site is free of other foreign objects and residues that could affect the accuracy of sensor readings.
The sensor cannot be used on a patient's extremity if, at the time of use, there is an arterial cannula or sphygmomanometer cuff on the patient's extremity.
If the patient is in the process of radiation therapy, please place the sensor outside the radiation area. If it is exposed to the radiation area, the reading of the sensor may be inaccurate.
The accuracy of the sensor can also be affected if it is in an environment with strong light, such as surgical lights, fluorescent lights, infrared heating lamps, and direct sunlight. Therefore, when necessary, you can choose to cover the monitoring site with a piece of cloth.
If there are foreign objects on the detection site of the patient, such as nail polish, glitter powder and other foreign objects on the nails, it may affect the performance of the sensor, resulting in inaccurate SpO2 values.
